School House is a folk band from Ottawa whose creative journey began when the members moved into a century-old schoolhouse, the perfect setting for what would become their shared musical journey.  


Winners of the 2025 Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase and 2026 CMAO Roots Group of the Year, the band has developed a loyal fanbase from coast to coast following their sophomore album "Homeland". 


Their sound was born around a campfire, taking turns singing lead and joining together in three-part harmony. That same spirit of collaboration continues to shape their music today, blending thoughtful storytelling with catchy songwriting to create memorable and energetic live performances. After becoming fan favourites at Ottawa CityFolk and Mariposa Folk Festival, the group has shared the stage with Canadian icons Alan Doyle and The Strumbellas. 

Now, with their recent single “Stick Around,” backed by Universal Music Group, they continue to make their mark as one of Canada’s most exciting emerging bands.
